Insert Dor-Bolt through the lock holeBore and into the horizontal latch bore and through the strike jamb.

The nut for the Dor-Bolt is inserted into

 a ¾” socket attached to an air screwdriver

Or an electric or cordless screwdriver and Tightened into the bolt portion of the Dor-Bolt.

INSTALLING THE DOR-BOLT
  Strike jamb latch hole routing. Size of the routed hole is ¾” X 7/8”.  The latch face routing does not change.  NOTE: A ¾” X 1” hole will also work

 

                       

 

 

                                                                                                                       

The tab on the nut is designed to prevent the nut from spinning when the Dor-Bolt is being removed from inside the lock hole. The tab hits the back of the door casing preventing the nut from spinning.

   The nut should not be over tightened. Just a snug fit is all that is required.
